Villa Rental

Villa Florencia is a beautiful and spacious villa for rent, located in the heart of the Valencia orange growing region of Spain. Only 3kms outside the town of Gandía, it is set in a rural location amongst verdant citrus groves and commands stunning views of the surrounding mountains. If you are looking for a villa rental for your holiday on the Costa Blanca, this is a truly exceptional property, and is suitable for groups of up to 16 people at a time.

The accommodation in the main part of the house consists of 5 spacious bedrooms (three twins and two doubles). All have air-conditioning and heating, are well furnished and benefit from a twice weekly towel change (more frequently upon request at no extra charge) and weekly bed linen change. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each room and all have modern en-suite bathrooms with power showers. Two of the bedrooms have space for an extra bed if required, bringing the total number of people that can be accommodated in the main part of the house to 12. There is a large and exceptionally well-equipped kitchen at renters’ disposal, complete with two fridge/freezers, 2 dishwashers, eight burner range cooker, an additional oven and a microwave. A spacious and tastefully furnished lounge bar area with satellite television has ample seating to relax in, and the glassed-in terrace with its sliding windows makes a truly beautiful dining space with its panoramic views towards the surrounding mountains and orange groves.

Outside, the extensive gardens of the villa are generously planted with citrus and palm trees, oleander, jasmine, honeysuckle and many other fragrant and colourful flowering shrubs which provide a superb backdrop for the beautiful 12m swimming pool and secluded sun terraces.

For those who wish to venture further afield, Villa Florencia provides an ideal base for daily excursions or walking holidays in the area. Blue flag award winning beaches are to be found just 8kms away at Playa de Gandia and the facilities of the Costa Blanca resorts such as Benidorm with its theme parks and other attractions are only 40 minutes drive away.

Monasteries, caves, drives in the mountains and numerous picturesque villages await exploration, as well as Gandia town itself with its historic centre and Borgia Palace.
Nightlife is in no short supply either, with a large choice of bars and clubs in Playa de Gandía that attract Spanish holidaymakers to make this area one of their favourite holiday destinations in the whole country. Of course, there is an even wider choice of entertainment within reasonable driving distance at any of the coastal resorts further along the Costa Blanca too.

Whatever your reason for visiting this beautiful and often overlooked area of the Costa Blanca, we look forward to seeing you at Villa Florencia, where we are certain you will feel relaxed, welcome and at home.

Lliria town hall has just put out a new video promoting the town. • Are You Owed Some Money In Spain? January 21, 2012
I was reminded this week about the potential for anyone already living in Spain or who has sold a property in Spain to be owed some money by officialdom. I got a call from a gestor about one of my clients from three years ago. Could I come in and pick up the excess money from the provision of funds made when she sold the property in ... 2009! I misheard the […]

The property market in Spain may have suffered a spectacular decline in the recent past, and it is true that this plays an enormous part in the present woes of the Spanish economy. • Euro exchange rate and money transfer to Spain January 26, 2012
Is the euro bouncing back – or set to meltdown? In the past fortnight the pound and US dollar hit 12 month highs against the euro, reaching 1.21 and 0.79 respectively. Since then the euro has clawed back ground. But is this the start of euro resurgence, or a last gasp – preceding terminal decline? Watching […]
  • A Place in the Sun and the best kept secret on the Spanish coastline January 24, 2012

  • Valencia debt, outrageous corruption in Spain and crooked politicians January 22, 2012
A fascinating article was published by El Pais a few days ago, which should be required reading for anyone living in the Valencian Region (as I do).  It confirms, of course, what most commentators have suspected for years and is a powerful and stinging attack upon politicians within the Valencia Region, albeit from a left […]
  • The origins of the Spanish Civil War January 20, 2012
The Spanish Civil War 1936-39 was a conflict notable for its brutality and for the way it savagely divided Spain.  It resulted, of course, in General Franco’s long dictatorship (which only ended in 1975) and was a defining moment for Spain – the results of which can be felt even now. However, the Civil War […]
